We won't let go of her memory

i just wanted to let everyone know about our little foundation. while yalaina was in the NICU, she was unable to wear clothes due to her being connected to multiple hoses, tubes and wires

so i decided one day that if she couldn't wear any clothes, that, daggonnit, she was gonna have on beautiful socks. so that's what we did. like these:

so once she went to be with God, in her honor, we've started the Yalaina's Legacy Sock Foundation so that every baby in her NICU and every NICU will be able to have on cute socks, if nothing else. we donated all of the socks that she wore to her NICU, and then we bought some 'boy' socks because we figured that some dad's might take issue to their son being in pink frilly socks.

if you'd like to help, you can send preemie socks directly to her NICU (they're fully on board with it) at:

Methodist Hospital -- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
I-65 at 21st
P.O. Box 1367
Indianapolis, IN 46206

just be sure to attach a note that they're for Yalaina's Legacy Sock Foundation. it'd be a great way to contribute to her memory, if you'd like to. this is just the beginning. we would really like for this to spread like wildfire so that every baby, no matter how ill, will be able to have something that still allows them to just be a baby. so since we ran out of baby items to sell on eBay, we will figure out other ways to raise money for socks.
